Lees Summit Missouri Art
Applications for the Downtown Sculpture Walk 2021 for a temporary sculpture exhibition that will run through downtown St. Louis, Missouri, from July 1 to August 31, 2021 are accepted. The "Downtown Sc sculpture walk" will be open to the public on Friday, July 2, 2019, from 5.30 to 7.15 pm, with a special event from 6 to 7.45 pm.
The artists were to plan the installation of the artwork between 5 and 16 April 2021 and plan the installation until the last week of March 2022. This complements the already established art walk on four Fridays, the "Downtown Sculpture Walk 2021," which takes place in April and August.
If the artworks selected for the Downtown Sculpture Walk are no longer available, the selection committee will negotiate with the artists to exhibit one of their works. The artists and the cultural department will also decide on an agreed date at the end of the programme year - at which the individual pieces will be picked up.

Downtown Lee Summit has received several state and national awards for its efforts to preserve historic buildings, including the National Register of Historic Places and the Missouri Historic Landmark Award. As for DowntownLee Summit, it consists of 11 square blocks that recall the original area of 1865 that defined the city's founding boundaries. Sports and art programs at home school offer long-term benefits by making contacts, leaving the house and developing a sense of community in the home school community. KCViolinists offers students in the homes the opportunity to explore the arts and learn how to work with the music community at their own age and with peers.
The City of Lee Summit reserves the right to reproduce and distribute the artwork and images in print and electronic media to promote this exhibition. Selected artworks can be installed at specific locations in central Lee, including the Town Hall, City Park and other public and private buildings.
We believe that by creating more public art, we can create a destination that attracts people, experiences public interaction, shares art, and increases spending in shops and restaurants. If there is a public art program outdoors, the artworks must be robust and durable so that they can be experienced as public interaction.
There are also many downtown events that take place throughout the year, including the annual St. Louis Art Festival, the Missouri State Fair and many more. Artists participate in the festival and we offer art classes at Art Happy Studio. We strive to make public art accessible to everyone, not just artists and their families. The sculpture is insured by the City of Lee's Summit under the auspices of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection (MO DNR).
The artist must include a description of the sculpture in the application, including the artist's name, date of birth, address, telephone number and email address. The selected works must be delivered to a location determined by the Department of Cultural Arts, as agreed by the Department of Artists and Cultural Arts. All artworks submitted in this application must be delivered in installation size and colour. Plaques are placed on each location of the sculpture, including the name and address of the artist, the location of the installation, the number of pieces, size, color and location.
